Hello,
Our wargaming club - OHWC played Operation Spring Awakening (Unternehmen Frühlingserwachen) (6 March 1945 – 16 March 1945) was the last major German offensive launched during World War II. This offensive, also known in German as the Plattensee Offensive, in Russian as the Balaton Defensive Operation (6 March 1945 - 15 March 1945), and in English as the Lake Balaton Offensive, was an offensive launched by the Germans in great secrecy on 6 March 1945. The Germans launched attacks in Hungary near the Lake Balaton area on the Eastern Front. This area included some of the last oil reserves still available to the Germans.
Operation Spring Awakening involved many German units withdrawn from the failed Ardennes Offensive on the Western Front including the 6th SS Panzer Army.
My photos and very short report from our game (detail report is available to Czech language only)

Because LLSAH take advantage quickly move on the road and bad deployed russian defence. 50% tanks from 6th Panzer SS Army were bogged down (5 and 6 turn!) and part Panzergrenadier (tank riders) went foot! 6th Panzer SS Army took action aginst russian forces late. Armour of tanks KingTigers, valour of PanzerGrenadier infantry, fundamental determination of commander LSSAH brigade (decide attack to Homács without 6th Panzer Army SS) and war fortune (dice) were causes brilliant German victory.
